Here are my picks for this year's best evening gowns (in no particular order) for this year's Miss Universe 2008. Please note that these girls chose these gowns for this particular photo shoot. They may or may not wear these gowns during the preliminaries and the final night. Some girls bring with them more than one evening gowns and I'm sure Miss Japan, Miss Korea, Miss India, Miss Colombia and Miss USA will not be wearing these gowns on the final night. We'll wait and see. Anyways, these girls are (in the order that they appear in this line of photos) Miss Czech Republic, Miss Philippines, Miss USA, Miss Uruguay, Miss Peru, Miss Nigeria, Miss Puerto Rico, Miss South Africa, Miss Switzerland, Miss Thailand, Miss Guam, Miss India, Miss Indonesia, Miss Japan, Miss Korea, Miss Australia, Miss Canada, Miss Costa Rica, Miss Colombia and Miss Dominican Republic.
In my personal opinion, the best gowns are Miss Korea and Miss Colombia (these two gowns are the best in the whole of the pageant, so fashionable and so elegant!), followed closely by Miss Japan (gasp!), Miss USA (va-va-voom!), Miss Thailand (incredibly couture!), Miss Puerto Rico (great colour!), Miss Indonesia (those legs!) and Miss South Africa (is that you, Nefertiti?).
